Free standing ammonite North Yorkshire fossils

Free standing dactylioceras ammonite fossil that we found near Whitby on the North Yorkshire Jurassic coast.

This ammonite was in the middle of a huge limestone nodule.

180 million years old.

Yellow 1 cm cube for scale.
