Fossil hunting has been a passion of ours for many years, and living on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Jurassic Coast gives us the opportunity to spend plenty of time exploring its beaches and rock formations. There is something special about finding a fossil yourself. You never quite know what you are going to uncover as you walk along the shore, and every discovery has a story behind it. From carefully preserved ammonites to the smaller fossils and fragments that can so easily be overlooked, we love discovering the incredible evidence of life that existed here millions of years ago. We take great care when selecting, preparing and photographing the specimens we offer, so that you can see exactly what makes each one special. Where appropriate, we also provide information about the species, geological age and location to help you understand more about your fossil. We also enjoy sharing our knowledge of the Yorkshire coast and helping people learn more about the fossils they discover themselves.
